Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin Al-Saleh inaugurated the "Writings from the Cell Walls" exhibition by visual artist Saleh Al-Hajjar at the National Museum in Damascus. The exhibition, organized by the Damascus Countryside Directorate of Culture in cooperation with the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums, will run until the 30th of this month. It features twenty artworks depicting chapters of the suffering endured by Syrian detainees who experienced the worst forms of injustice and oppression at the hands of the Assad regime. Through these works, Al-Hajjar conveys the cries of the detainees that echoed behind the cell walls, transforming their sorrow into an artistic language that tells stories of resilience, determination, and the ability to transform pain into hope.
