
Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin Al-Saleh inaugurated the Syrian Arab Republic's national pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale in Italy, in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic's Embassy in Italy, Ambassador Hussein Sabbagh. The pavilion featured the art project "The Tower Tomb of Palmyra" by Syrian artist Sara Shamma. Inspired by the cultural heritage of Palmyra, the project presents a contemporary visual experience that employs painting, architecture, light, and sound within an interactive artistic framework. The work carries human and cultural dimensions, evoking memory and identity, and offering a visual experience that reflects the depth of Syrian civilization and affirms the presence of Syrian culture on the international art scene.
