As part of the exhibition's activities, Jordanian writer Dr. Ayman Al-Atoum signed books from his literary works, in a meeting that brought him together with his Syrian audience who gathered to meet him, take commemorative photos and get his autograph.
A unique lecture entitled “The Conditional Sentence in Grammatical Heritage Between Renewal and Tradition” was held at the Damascus International Book Fair, delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Rashid Anis, in which he presented an in-depth reading of one of the chapters of Arabic grammar, tracing its development between traditional authenticity and attempts at renewal.
His Eminence Sheikh “Ahmed Hassan Al-Hussein” graciously visited the book fair and reviewed the diverse cultural program and participating publishing houses.
The Damascus International Book Fair hosted a lecture titled "The Culture of Place," presented by engineer Raed Jammous, which addressed traditional Syrian architecture and ways to draw inspiration from it in the present. The lecture offered a profound architectural analysis of the aesthetics of Syrian heritage and the importance of preserving architectural identity within the context of our current reality.
